A meeting with the Representatives of the OHCHR was held in the Western Regional Center of the Ombudsman

A meeting was held with Mr. Shkolnikov, the Senior Human Rights Adviser for the South Caucasus, Mr. Kamran Bagirov, Head of the OHCHR Country Office, and Mr. Rashad Aliyev, staff of the country office, in the Ombudsman’s Western Regional Center.

Mr. Sabuhi Abbasov, head of the Ombudsman’s Western Regional Center informed the guests on the activity directions of the Center, human rights awareness-raising activities for the population conducted by the Center on a regular basis, free legal aid actions run by the UN Country Office and Ombudsman Institution in the regions. The questions raised by the guests were answered. 

Mr. Shkolnikov thanked for the reception and shared interest of the organization he represented in the successful continuation of cooperation with the Ombudsman Institution in the protection of human rights, and wished the employees of the Regional Center much success in their future endeavours.
