Regional Centers of the Ombudsman held events on the occasion of the 28th of May - Independence Day

Ombudsman’s Ganja, Guba, Sheki, and Jalilabad Regional Centers held events on the occasion of the 28^th of May- Independence Day.

During the events, it was noted the great importance of the establishment of the Azerbaijan People’s Republic, the first democratic republic in the East, furthermore, as one of the glorious pages of our history of national statehood, as well as the logical result of our people's struggle to for national liberation.   

Further, it was said that the history and values of the Republic are treated with great respect at the state level in today’s independent Azerbaijan.

As well, the significant role of the People’s Republic in the history of the statehood of Azerbaijan was also remembered. The event participants were informed of the measures undertaken by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the current country’s President Ilham Aliyev, as well as the taken decisions and issued decrees in this direction.

The events were continued with interactive discussions.
