The Office of the Human Rights Commissioner of Azerbaijan organized an awareness-raising training on the protection of child rights for the employees of the State Migration Service on the eve of the 1st June-“The International Day for Protection of Children”.
Reporting about the protection of children’s rights, Ms. Nigar Aghayeva, head of the Child Rights Protection Unit at the Ombudsman Institution, briefed participants on the existing normative and legal acts, international experience, child protection mechanisms, as well as the Ombudsman’s activity and recommendations given in the relevant field.
A video about the Azerbaijani Ombudsman’s activities during the 44-day war and postwar periods, war atrocities as a result of Armenian attacks, accompanied by serious violations of human beings, including children, was shown during the training.
In the end, the questions of the trainees were answered.
