The Ombudsman Institution provided its next group of interns with Reference Letters

The second phase of the research internship with the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights of Azerbaijan has ended. In this phase, last-year law students of the Baku State University and the 5th year political studies students of Western Kaspi University have completed their internships.  

During the internship conducted in a hybrid format, the interns were provided with general information on the ombuds institution as an extrajudicial protection mechanism, including its Constitutional Law on the Ombudsman, application review procedure, activity in protection of the right of access to information, international partnership, cooperation with civil society organizations, and activity for the prevention of torture.  

At the end of the internship period, the Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva provided the interns’ reference letters. During the meeting held in this regard, it was stressed that the importance of active participation of the young people, having legal knowledge and practical skills in awareness-raising activities award to ensure the development of legal thinking and culture of the society.  

It must be noted during the awarding ceremony the winner of the “Rise” Competition, mentored also by the Ombudsman, has made a presentation.
