NPM Group of the Ombudsman visited the psychoneurological social service institution No. 1

The Ombudsman's NPM Team visited the psycho-neurological social service institution No. 1 of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.

During the preventive visit, which was also attended by an NPM psychologist team member, all areas of the social institution, including the dormitory, kitchen, canteen, and rehabilitation rooms were inspected. The current situation of the social-care services was investigated. Individual interviews were conducted with the residents of the institution, employees, and management of the facility to assess the treatment issues.

NPM members made appropriate recommendations to the management of the institution for the improvement of the conditions of detention and ensuring the rights of PWDs. In addition, the facility was provided with information on how to apply to the Ombudsman, the round clock 916 Call Center, and a poster with contact information of the Institution.
