As reported before, the family members of the teenage girl (b. 2005), who was sexually abused in Ganja city, and became pregnant after this, appealed to the Ombudsman via the Call Center 916 and this matter is remaining to be kept under the focus of the Ombudsman.
Based on the Ombudsman’s appeal to the Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB), the teenager was placed in the Republican Clinic Hospital named after the academician M. A. Mirgasimov and was examined and treated.
Furthermore, with the Ombudsman’s intervention, the teenager and her family members were undergone neurological examinations at the noted-above health facility.
The Ombudsman appealed to the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan to ensure social-psychological assistance to the family, the family together with the teenager were placed at the social service institution.
In addition, the Ganja City Executive Office was appealed for rendering assistance to the family to solve their social problems.
