As a result of Armenia’s centuries-long hatred policy against our people, tens of thousands of peaceful civilians were exterminated massively and with special cruelty due to their ethnic and religious backgrounds from time to time. The mass graves found in the areas freed from Armenia’s occupation once again prove such facts and the commission of war crimes.
It is estimated that the human remains recently uncovered in Farrukh village of the Khojaly district belonged to the persons missing since the First Karabakh War.
It is regrettable to note that during the First Karabakh War about 4000 (four thousand) Azerbaijanis were disappeared. The failure of the adversary side to prove any information about the missing persons as of today and the human remains discovered in the liberated areas give us the ground to say that some of them were mercilessly murdered and buried en masse. The discovered mass graves just show Armenia’s genocidal policy against Azerbaijanis.
In this regard, we call on the international community to take a resolute approach in accordance with international law in relation to crimes against peace and humanity, war crimes committed against Azerbaijanis.
