The Ombudsman Institution of Azerbaijan in collaboration with the Child-Youth Development Center under the Ministry of Education organized a training on the theme “Education for all”. The purpose of this training was to increase the professional capacities of the staff of the Center and raise their awareness of the UN global movement under the theme “Education for All”, as well as to prepare trainers specialized in child rights protection.
The trainers in this event were staff members of the Ombudsman Institution, Ms. Nigar Aghayeva, Head of the Child Rights Protection Unit, and Ms. Aidan Talibova, Senior Adviser in Legal Education at the Ombudsman Institution.
The participants were informed about the existing legal framework in the field of child rights, child rights protection mechanisms, legal education programs implemented for ensuring the right to education, and overall activities of the Ombudsman in the relevant field.
In the end, the participants were shown a video on the activities of the Azerbaijani Ombudsman during the 44-day war and its aftermath.
It should be noted that the training was held in connection with the implementation of the "National Action Program to increase the effectiveness of the protection of human rights and freedoms in the Republic of Azerbaijan."
