According to the work plan approved by the Ombudsman, Sabina Aliyeva, the Ombudsman Office continues to conduct live and online training seminars on the “Rights and Responsibilities of Observers” related to the upcoming early presidential elections.
The next similar training seminar was held online for the employees of the Ombudsman's Regional Centers and the Ombudsman Office of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
Opening the training, Aydin Safikhanli, the Chief of the Ombudsman Office, said that awareness events for election preparedness were held across the country. He provided information about the importance of the observation mission in the election process and underlined its crucial role in overcoming possible shortcomings during the election process.
Afterward, Mahir Mammadov, the Head of the Unit in the Department for Cooperation with International and Civil Society Organizations at the Ombudsman Office, ran an online training on the "Rights and Responsibilities of Observers." The information about the rules of observation, the rights and duties of observers, responsibilities for violations of electoral legislation, and other issues provided in the legislation was given during the training.
In the training, the questions of the trainees were answered.
