Guba Regional Center of the Ombudsman held an awareness-raising event on the prevention of domestic violence and early marriage

Guba Regional Center of the Ombudsman jointly with the Department of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations of the District and Executive Power of Guba District held an awareness-raising event on the prevention of domestic violence and early marriage.

During his speech, the Head of the Regional Center, Mr. Behruz Efendiyev said that the Azerbaijan Ombudsman Institution consistently implements awareness-raising events to grab the attention of the public audience to the prevention of gender-based and domestic violence.

He noted the critical importance of the National Action Plan to Combat Domestic Violence in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2020-2023 years, approved by the Presidential Order dated 27 November 2020, to ensure the prevention of domestic violence.

The other participants speaking at the event stressed the significance of the awareness-raising actions on the prevention of domestic violence, as well as the measures to be implemented in this regard.
