Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva had a meeting with the Minister of Justice of the Kingdom of Morocco

Within the frame of her official visit to Morocco, the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ms. Sabina Aliyeva had a meeting with Mr. Abdellatif Ouahbi, the Minister of Justice of the Kingdom of Morocco.   

At the meeting, the Minister was informed about the reforms in the field of justice, activity directions of the cooperation with the judicial authorities, and the mandate of the Azerbaijani Ombudsman. Ms. Aliyeva also briefed on her activity during the Second Karabakh War. She gave detailed information about the contamination of the liberated Azerbaijani areas with landmines during the Armenian occupation, the serious effects of the mine problem, as well as on the unknown fate of approximately 4000 Azerbaijanis missing as a result of this armed conflict.

In the end, the Ombudsman expressed her thankfulness to the Minister for the reception.
