Regional Centers of the Ombudsman held events dedicated to the Azerbaijan Youth Day

The Ganja, Jalilabad, Sheki, and Guba Regional Centers of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan held events dedicated to the Azerbaijan Youth Day.  

The Ganja Regional Center of the Ombudsman and the Gadabay Heydar Aliyev Center jointly organized a video conference on "The winning youth of the winning country." Furthermore, the Regional Center together with the Tovuz District Youth House Social Service Facility launched a video conference on the topic of "The role of youth in the development of the independent Republic of Azerbaijan" with the participation of young people from Tovuz, Gazakh, and Agstafa districts.

The Jalilabad Regional Center of the Ombudsman held a legal awareness-raising event at the Jalilabad City Humanities and Technical School No. 8 on "Raising awareness of adolescents and young people about human rights and gender equality, strengthening the joint fight against early marriages and harmful habits and promoting a healthy lifestyle."

On this occasion, the Guba Regional Center of the Ombudsman organized an event entitled "Modern Azerbaijani Youth" at the Heydar Aliyev Center. The event was attended by young employees of the Heydar Aliyev Center of Guba, employees of the Guba regional "ASAN service" center and Youth Development and Career Center, and also volunteers. Apart from this, the head of the Regional Center attended the Guba Youth Forum held by the District Youth and Sports Department.

The Sheki Regional Center of the Ombudsman in cooperation with the Oguz District Youth and Sports Department organized online, as well as an in-person event entitled "Heydar Aliyev and modern Azerbaijani youth" at the Sheki State Regional College.

During their speeches, representatives of the Regional Centers said that youth policy in Azerbaijan is an important integral part of state policy. Moreover, it was noted that Azerbaijani youth demonstrated great courage and heroism in the liberation of our lands, occupied for almost 30 years.

During the speeches, the participants were informed about the Ombudsman's multifaceted activities in the field of human rights protection, as well as meetings with veterans of the Patriotic War to ensure their rights.
