A training on "Problems of Early Marriage and Ways of Prevention"

Head of the Child Rights Protection Unit, Nigar Aghayeva has run training on the “Problems of Early Marriage and Ways of Prevention” at the Azerbaijan Academy of Labor and Social Relations. The heads and representatives of trade unions committees and chairpersons of the commissions for gender problems took part in the training.     

N.Aghayeva provided participants with detailed information on child rights protection, the existing international and national legal norms dealing with child marriages, and state programs. In addition, she spoke about the measures taken by the Ombudsperson in the relevant field, the existing challenges in this field, and proposals that were made to eliminate those gaps.
