Ombudsman conducted Fact-Finding Mission to Aghdam district

The Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) Ms. Sabina Aliyeva continued fact-finding mission in Aghdam district on destructions of cemeteries committed by Armenia during the period of occupation.

During the fact-finding visit, the Ombudsman monitored the Garaghaji and Uzundere village cemeteries in the Aghdam and collected the relevant facts of violations. As in other districts, the cemeteries in Aghdam were found to be in danger of the existence of landmines buried by Armenians during the occupation.

As reported, a relevant fact-finding mission report will be compiled on the basis of the outcomes of the on-site investigations and sent to competent regional and international organizations.
