Ombudsman Sabina Aliyeva visited an Exhibition of World Advocates Robes and Attributes

The Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ms. Sabina Aliyeva visited an exhibition of the World Advocates’ Robes and Attributes organized by the Bar of Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which was dedicated to the 28 December - the national Advocates Day.  

Speaking at the event, Ms. Aliyeva outlined the developing bilateral cooperation between the Ombudsman Institution and the Bar Association of Azerbaijan in the field of effective protection of human rights, developing the activities of advocates at the national level, and state actions addressed to ease the accessibility of people to legal services.

The Ombudsman said that during the pandemic joint measures have been taken together with the advocates in a view to efficiently protecting the rights of vulnerable groups of the population.

Ms. Aliyeva underlined mutual cooperation between the two institutions resulting in positive improvements in the field of legal aid services for citizens.

In conclusion, Ms. Aliyeva stated both institutions will continue their mutual relations to promote and protect human rights in the future.
