OIC Ombudsmen Association delegation is on a fact-finding mission to our country at the invitation of the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan

Another international delegation is on an official visit in Azerbaijan with the aim to carry out a fact-finding mission in the liberated territoriesat the invitation of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ms. Sabina Aliyeva.

The delegation led by the President and Secretary General Advisor of the Association of Ombudsmen of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will investigate on-site the war crimes committed by Armenia against Azerbaijan, facts of destruction of cultural monuments and consequences of environmental terrorism.

Today, the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan Ms. Sabina Aliyeva together with the delegation visited the Alley of Honors, the Alley of Martyrs and the Baku Turkish Martyrs’ Memorial. First, the delegation commemorated the National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honors, then visited the grave of the prominent ophthalmologist-scientist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva and pay tribute to their memories.

Afterward, the delegation visited the Alley of Martyrs and paid tribute to the memory of the martyrs who sacred their lives for territorial integrity and independence of Azerbaijan. The Baku Turkish Martyrs’ Memorial was visited, and the memory of the martyrs was honored.

The public will be kept informed about the official meetings and fact-finding missions to be held during the visit.
