Ganja Regional Center of the Ombudsman organized an online legal awareness training on the Role of Mediation institution in the protection of human rights

Ganja Regional Center of the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan and Tovuz Youth House-social service institution organized an online legal awareness training on "The role of the mediation institution in the protection of human rights" with the participation of young people.

In his speech, Sabuhi Abbasov, the head of the Regional Center, said that the newly established mediation institution played an important role in reducing and preventing conflicts, in protecting human rights. The participants were given detailed information about the Law of Azerbaijan "On Mediation", which regulates public relations in the field of mediation, defines the goals, principles, rules of mediation, and the status of mediators. S. Abbasov stressed that the Azerbaijani Ombudsman Institution regularly conducts legal awareness-raising events to raise public awareness about various issues in the field of human rights, as well as the institution of mediation.

The information about the newly established mediation institute in our country was met with interest at the online event, which was actively discussed, and confidence was expressed that this institution will make an important contribution to the peaceful settlement of conflicts in society.
