The Ombudsman’s West Regional Center organized a legal awareness event for the young people participating in the forthcoming early presidential elections for the first time in the Shamkir region.

At the event, the Head of the Regional Center, S. Abbasov, said that the Ombudsman institution consistently pays attention to the situation of ensuring citizens' voting rights in our country and emphasized the ongoing efforts for the effective protection and provision of these rights. Furthermore, the importance of each voter, including first-time young voters, demonstrating a high sense of responsibility in ensuring the democratic and transparent conduct of elections was underlined.

During the event, attention was drawn to the requirements of the Election Code, voting procedures, and questions of young participants related to the electoral process were answered.
