The Ombudsman received Lithuanian journalist Richards Lapaitis

The Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ms. Sabina Aliyeva received the Lithuanian journalist Mr. Riçards Lapaitis and his film crew.

At the meeting, the discussions were held on the documentary film “Endless corridor”, produced in the frame of the awareness campaign “Justice for Khojaly”, covering the First Karabakh War and the bloody genocide, which he witnessed in person. The military journalist, Mr. Lapaitis noted that during the filming, he met with the survivors of the Khojaly Genocide listened to heartbreaking stories of those who lost their loved ones, and that he conveyed the Armenian atrocities to the global community through this film.   

The parties also exchanged views on the making a new documentary film on 44 day-long Second Karabakh War.  The guest was briefed about the multiple activities of the Ombudsman during and post-war periods, Fact-Finding Missions conducted and future cooperation perspectives were discussed.

In conclusion, the guest thanked Sabina Aliyeva for the warm welcome.
