A staff member of the Ombudsman Institution participated in an online training on early marriages

The Republican Child and Youth Development Center of the Ministry of Education held an online training in close cooperation with the Ombudsman Institution, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan in order to strengthen measures to prevent child marriage in accordance with the National Action Plan to Combat Trafficking in Human Beings in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2020-2024.

During the training, the representative of the Ombudsman institution Ms. Nigar Aghayeva informed the participants about the activities of the Institution to prevent early marriages. She also added that the Institution launched regular awareness-raising events in this direction.

At the end of the event, discussions were held on the topic, questions were answered by experts, and proposals were put forward.
