The Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ms Sabina Aliyeva and her Office continue their regular monitoring of military units, military educational and health-care facilities according to the agreed action plan between the HRCA and the Ministry of Defence.
These days, the Ombudsman and the staff members conducted monitoring of the military unit of the Azerbaijani Navy of the Ministry of Defense in accordance with the rules of the pandemic.
In the course of the monitoring, the Ombudsman made a tribute to the memory of the National Leader, Heydar Aliyev, and wrote in the Book of Remembrance for the guests.
During the monitoring, the administration of the Navy gave detailed information to the Ombudsman about the historical background and the activity of the Azerbaijani Navy, as well as on the servants who participated in the Patriotic War, including those who sacrificed their lives or wounded for the protection of territorial integrity during those hostilities, and also about those who were awarded medals.
Also, the Ombudsman monitored the general condition of the warships created for the personnel, treatment of them, quality of nutrition, and organization of the ideological work. During the meeting held in the course of the monitoring, the Ombudsman has awarded a number of distinguished naval military personnel.
The Ombudsman also monitored the Policlinic under the Azerbaijani Navy and she assessed the quality of the healthcare service rendered.
In the end, the Ombudsman discussed the issues of future mutual cooperation with the Azerbaijani Navy Command.
