Staff members of the Ombudsman Office participated in an online training of the Council of Europe

The European Union and the Council of Europe launched the next online training under their joint action "Raising awareness of the Istanbul Convention and other gender equality standards in Azerbaijan" within the Programme for Good Governance (PGGII) in the Eastern Partnership countries.

The aim of the project is to raise awareness of the standards on violence against women, domestic violence, and gender equality, as well as the Istanbul Convention.

At this training attended by the representatives of the Ombudsman Office, Ministry of Justice, and the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, the participants exchanged their experience in relevant fields and participated in the teamwork on how the methodology could be further improved.  

The training ended with closing speeches after the presentations.
