An event was held for the children from families qualified for refugee status

The Ombudsman Office cooperates with the State Migration Service for the effective protection and promotion of the rights of migrant children in the country.

An event was organized for the children, coming from refugee families and their parents during the “Child Right Month” announced by the Ombudsman Ms. Sabina Aliyeva.

The representatives from both institutions took part in the event held to support the legal education of children, their education, upbringing, and harmonious development.

The representative of the Ombudsman Ms. Turan Jahangirova spoke about the provisions protecting the civil, economic, social and cultural and other rights of children stipulated in domestic and international legal documents, legal protection mechanisms, and procedures.

Furthermore, children and parents were informed of the Ombudsman’s mandate and activity, and their multiple questions were answered. Then, according to the agenda of the event, an excursion to the Baku Zoological Park for children was organized.
