Another awareness-raising event was organized during the Human Rights Month announced by the Ombudsman

In the framework of Human Rights Month, secondary school No.231 named after N.S.Teymurov located in the Pirallahi district of Baku hosted an awareness-raising event on “The essence of human rights and freedoms”.

The officials of the Department of Socio-Political and Humanitarian Affairs of the Pirallahi Executive Power Office, and the school administration took part in the event.

While speaking at the event, Mr. Mugalib Mahmudov, the head of the Legal Education Unit in the Ombudsman Institution, provided the audience about significant provisions on child rights codified in the Organic Law of Azerbaijan, international treaties consented to be bound by our State, other legal and normative acts, articles protecting the best legal interests of children, purposeful state measures taken to ensure their rights, as well as broad information about the Ombudsman's activity in protection and promotion of child rights.
