Recently, Ombudsman’s staff members, F. Hasanov and Murad Babayev made visits to the military unit No.N of Internal Troops and Civil Defense Troops.

The aim of the monitoring was to get acquainted with living conditions of military servants, to monitor treatment of them and protection of their human rights in those facilities.

All corps of those facilities, as well as condition created for military servants, the attitude of commanders to the staff, the quality of food in the visited facilities were monitored.

During the meeting Staff members gave broad information about human rights, including the rights of military servants, the Commissioner’s activities in this field, current national military legislation and military regulations, also the right to vote as set out in Article 56 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan and articles on military servicemen in the Election Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan and answered to numerous their questions.

Relevant recommendations were given to the headquarters of military units for further improvement of the work.
